The key to weight loss is taking everything in moderation. The goal is to stop excessive overindulgence. A small amount of saturated fat and carbohydrates is acceptable. Do not try to completely remove enjoyable foods from the diet. Instead, choose smaller portions and moderate the intake of unhealthy items that are not beneficial.
You can lose more weight by eating leaner meats. Instead of choosing cream-based sauces that are high in fat, or meat sauces that are high in sugar, complement your dishes with a tangy salsa or a flavorful chutney. This sauce will provide extra taste. Adding sauces to flavor your meat does not necessarily mean having to pack on unneeded calories either.
When you are watching what you eat, don't forget to also watch what you drink. Research the calories of your favorite beverages so that you can fit them into your diet comfortably. Also, switch to "light" versions of your drinks of choice to 'shave excess calories off' your daily intake.
